About the Evening
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, join neighbors and friends for a cozy craft night in the heart of the Elkhorn Mountains. We’ll gather at the Volunteer Hall for an evening focused on connection, creative play, and the comforting ritual of making — together — a Christmas Advent calendar to take home.

Our Project: Handmade Advent Calendar
We’ll supply calendar kit, adhesives/glue, paint, paint pens and guidance. Choose from a Christmas Santa, Holiday Truck or Christmas Snowman.

When
Saturday, November 8, 2025 • 5:00 PM — 8:00 PM
Where
Volunteer Hall, Sumpter, Oregon — a warm, accessible space.
Cost
$35 per person — includes materials for one advent calendar and light refreshments. Scholarships available—reach out if cost is a barrier.
Schedule (approx.)
- 5:00 PM — Welcome, find your spot
- 5:15 PM — Get started with guided support
- 6:30 PM — Break for snacks while the paint dries
- 7:00 PM — assemble your calandar, photos, and clean-up
- 8:00 PM — Close
What to Bring
Just bring your hands and cozy layers. We’ll provide basic tools and most materials. If you have favorite scissors, favorite paint brushes or paint colors, or special little trinkets you’d like to include, bring them along.
Materials & Accessibility
Provided: calendar kit of your choice, adhesives, glue, Paint and paint pens, wire and eyehooks for hanging
Accessibility: The Community Hall is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know in the RSVP if you need any additional accommodations.

Do I need crafting experience?
No — all skill levels welcome. Volunteers will help with steps that need extra hands.
Can kids join?
Yes — children are welcome with an adult. We recommend ages 6+ for participation with supervision. Family discounts available.
Will there be food?
Light refreshments will be provided. Bring special dietary snacks if needed.
